Yesterday I went to Lotus Leaf Communications to check out the GUESS summer preview. Not only was the summer collection stunning, but Lotus Leaf had the most delicious treats for the preview. I was so impressed with the GUESS pieces full of florals, sexy backs and stunning matching crop top and skirt combos.
Is anyone else crying a little inside from this frigid weather!? It was so nice to see bright colours and dresses. I'm counting down the days until summer...
EOS lip balms are my absolute favourite. I have about 3 in my purse, two in my overnight bag, one beside my bed and one at my boyfriends place. I guess you could consider it a bit of an addiction!? How can it not be when these cute little balls of moisture are the only things that really keep my lips moisturized and soft all throughout the year. No one wants chapped lips, so I love to have one of these by my side at all times. I also wear a lot of lipstick so you cannot have chapped lips when applying lipstick. These balms are my go to moisturizers to make sure my lipstick glides on, and makes them look luscious.
This Coconut Milk Eos Balm with the swirls is one I have never tried. It smells so good, I'm almost tempted to eat it...almost. The added bonus with most of the EOS balms, is they are 99% organic and you can find them at multiple retailers across Canada. The balms moisturizing formula is packed with natural conditioning oils, including hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C. The increased hydration promoted by hyaluronic acid helps to nourish and regenerate skin cells, which we all need during these harsh winters.
I've decided every Wednesday to put together a 'Pinspiration' post featuring fantastic pins from one of my favourite pinners - Paula Coop McCrory. She is the top 51 most powerful pinners in the world and my personal favourite pinner. What I love about her Pinterest board is the variety and selection of all her many pins and photos. You never get bored and there is always something new.
Last night was the 87th Oscars award ceremonies, where all the top movie actors and actresses gather together to celebrate and award the best movies of the year. My family and I are massive movie fans, so every year as long as I can remember, we have always had a little celebration or party of some sort. The party is only my siblings and significant others, but because I have such a big family, when everyone is together it sure feels like a party. We used to celebrate with a glass of champagne, but the last couple of years we have definitely stepped it up a notch. This years feast was full of goodies. My mom and I are usually the ones that organize everything, so we started prepping way in advance this year. Although the past few years The Oscars have been a tad boring, we always have fun snacking and drinking away.
Last night my sisters and I went to a restaurant/cafe, in the Thompson Hotel Toronto called Colette Grand Cafe. I stumbled on the place and instantly knew this was right up my alley. It is a french inspired restaurant/cafe and absolutely visually stunning. Of course thats not the only amazing part; the food, environment and staff are fantastic. What I adore most about the place is how they have the main restaurant and then a little cafe off to the side. I wanted to introduce you to the main restaurant first, because I fully intend on hoping over to the cafe next week to pick out some macarons and sip on a latte.
Every year my family and I go all out for the Academy Awards. We usually have a selection of treats and drinks and have a little family party. Sunday is this years Academy Awards and you bet my family and I are continuing on with our awards party tradition. I'll be busy all day tomorrow so my mom and I decided to get everything organized and planned for Sunday today. I just got home after picking up the finishing snacks for Sunday, and I can't wait to post everything.
Make sure to check our last years Academy Awards party (here)
