Fluorescent Cheetah

Here is my look for today!

I thought a stroll down by the lake deserved a bright summer outfit and this florescent shirt from The Girl That Loves fit perfectly with my outfit.  Later on that day it ended up getting a bit colder so I paired this shirt with a pair of black jeans and it changed the entire look. It went from girly bright to sophisticated chic. This is a great pop on and go shirt. No fuss.

Summer Whites

Here is my look for today!

It's no surprise that I have a major stripe obsession. When The Girl That Loves sent me this shirt I knew it was going to become a staple in my closet. Stripes are classic and you can make it super casual like this outfit, or pair it with a skirt and blazer to dress it up. When in doubt, wear stripes, is what I like to say. I decided to keep the classic look going with a pair of white jeans. I always love a white jean in the summer, but I was getting bored of just the basic wash. I decided to spice them up a bit by ripping a few holes in the knees. I like them a lot more and wear them all the time. Since I was wearing full navy and white, I decided to keep the trend going by adding my Atlanta Braves baseball cap to the mix. The perfect classy but casual outfit.

Beach Cover-Up

Here is my look for today!

When I first tried on this dress from The Girl That Loves it was a bit short for me, so I would only wear it out with some nylons. Considering its the middle of summer, I'm not ready to rock my nylons quite yet, so I made it work for summer as a beach cover-up. It's easy to slip on especially with the full zippered back, which does fully unzip and is super comfortable to lounge around in. The zipper is obviously my favourite detail of the outfit and it fits me like a glove. I decided to keep my shoes casual with my new BEARPAW shoes which are hands down the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn!! I topped it off with my massive beach bag from Value Village and I was set for a day at the beach!

Sushi Dinner

Last night my friends and I got together for a sushi dinner in Toronto at one of our favourite spots Spring Sushi. The sushi itself is delicious but we truly just have fun placing our orders through an iPad.

My friend and I showed up wearing the same dress and thought it was pretty hilarious. It got worse when we realized we were both wearing white converse..

We finished our evening with some Marble Slab and a walk around Toronto. It was so nice to catch up with my friends and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful night!

Weekend Getaway

This weekend I set out to my friends cottage and had one of the most relaxing weekends. I spent most of my time drinking wine on the hammock, but did try to be somewhat active and tried paddle boarding for the first time (didn't fall). Here are bits and pieces of the weekend!!

Colour Block

Here are the rest of the photos from yesterday!
My sisters and I started our day with lunch at PORT Restaurant then came home to treats and more food with the rest of the family. It was such a beautiful day so I decided to wear my new summer dress from Pink Stitch. I'm sorry that my entire blog lately has consisted of Pink Stitch pieces, but I am a bit obsessed. I was instantly attracted to this dress because of the great colour block, but when I found out it had pockets, it was an instant purchase. I'm not sure what the attraction is with me and pockets, but I will probably buy a dress or skirt just because it has pockets. Who knows?

ZigZag Maxi

Here is my look for today!

Being tall (5'9 1/2) maxi dresses have never been my favourite clothing piece to wear, because they are usually too short for me. This Pink Stitch maxi has so much fabric and is meant to be slightly shorter at the front so it works great for my body shape. Not to mention the vibrant zig-zag pattern is perfect for summer and is a great show stopping piece.

Polette Eyewear

The lovely people at Polette Eyewear sent me these stunning sunglasses and I adore them. I've always been a tortoiseshell fan with sunglasses, but the bamboo arms make them so unique. I'm also a huge fan of oversized sunglasses, so these will fit perfectly into my collection. All the eyewear is beyond affordable, but the quality is extremely high end with designs from Paris. Oui Oui!!
Make sure to check out more of the collection, along with their funky glasses (here)

My Week Through my iPhone

The past few days I was up visiting my best friend who is working at a gorgeous resort in Muskoka, Clevelands House Resort I will now hopefully be going up every weekend because I missed my best friend so much, I met so many other amazing people and the place was stunning!! I had every intention of taking lots of photos on my Canon, but I figured the lake and my very expensive camera wouldn't mix well. Instead, I have a few iPhone photos to share.

While I was there we celebrated Canada's Day. Of course I didn't have just one, but three red outfits representing Canada.
Shirt : Ten Tree
Bandeau : Brandy Melville
Shorts : Levi's

Sunglasses : Spy Optic
Shorts : Levi's

Jeans : Mavi
Baseball Cap : Lids

It was so much fun, grabbing lunch on the most beautiful patio on the lake, playing in the most insane inflatable water-park, hitching seadoo rides with random people and watching a beautiful 30 minute fireworks show.
Here are some other shots from the week.

Bathing Suit : Victoria's Secret
Sunglasses : Spy Optic

Next time I go up I will make sure to travel around with my Canon and get some proper photos!!
