Polar Rush

Here are photos from an event that happened back in March that I completely forgot to post. It wasn't until I was going through and deleting old photos that I realized I never posted about this event. My amazing friends who run mountain bike and Mud Hero events decided to put on a winter event called Polar Rush. I never travelled this winter, so I was in the middle of some major winter blues, and I thought this would be an amazing, challenging event to get my butt out of the house. Polar Rush is a 12+ obstacle course through the snow at Horseshoe Resort with a fun little after party. I unfortunately could not bring my camera with me during the course, because it probably would have been destroyed, but here are some before and after photos of the day. The course itself I had no idea how hard it was going to be, I'd never done anything like this before. It was the most challenging thing I've ever done, but all at the same time my sister and I (who came with me) were hysterically laughing though a lot of it. It was so hard, but we had so much fun!!! We will definitely be doing this again last year and we are planning on signing up for more events like this for the summer.
Of course after the event we had to treat ourselves. I was so excited that Horseshoe Resort had a BeaverTails hut because it is the most Canadian pastry ever, and I sadly had never tried one. They are as delicious as they look, accompanied by the most amazing hot chocolate (with marshmallows) I've ever had.
After eating dessert first, we hopped on over to the cute chalet where we indulged in some beer and chicken fingers.
I thought this event was too cute not to share. Sorry for the delay.
